About Dr. Ann Blackburn

Dr. Ann Blackburn, Owner of Blackburn Advisory Services is an organizational leadership and business consultant with over 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors.

Dr. Blackburn’s work is collaborative and involves client personnel and resources.  Drawing from successful careers in education and business, Dr. Blackburn has become a business coach, professor, mentor & confidant for executives for both private and public sector clients.    

Experience includes role as Deputy Director of Real Estate for The Presidio Trust, a Federal Corporation, President/CEO of EPMI, Project Director for Bechtel Investments, Inc. and Senior Manager/National Practice Leader at Ernst & Young. Consulting clients include architectural and engineering firms, law firms, public relations, construction companies, real estate developers, international retailers,  public properties such as military installations and ports, staffing agencies, television stations, cable networks, senior care operators,   accountancy firm, city agencies and non-profit and advocacy organizations.

Dr. Blackburn serves on several Boards including a Presidential Appointment to the National Women’s Business Council, YMCA Mt. Diablo Region and  Women Impacting Public Policy “WIPP”.  Dr. Blackburn was a US Delegate with the State Department for a business exchange program with Middle Eastern businesswomen in 2007 and participates regularly in humanitarian endeavors such as delivering wheelchairs to those in need around the world and teaching in small villages in  remote areas of Mexico. 

Dr. Blackburn facilitates corporate and public meetings, including CEO/President  peer advisory groups.  She is certified by the Drucker Leader to Leader Institute and has been identified as one of the most influential women in the Bay Area (San Francisco Business Times)
